Renewable Alcohol Combustion (ReAC) Collaboration
- Resources -
The Renewable Alcohol Combustion (ReAC) Collaboration was created to share knowledge across institutions studying alcohol combustion and to share knowledge with the community to advance the state of technology related to alcohol combustion engines. This page serves as a landing page dedicated to sharing informational resources generated by the ReAC Collaboration.
Below is a list of publications generated by the collaboration, followed by recorded seminars, which the ReAC Collab. has hosted.
PUBLICATIONS
Our first task after forming the collaboration was to share experimental data across institutions related to alcohol compression ignition combustion to determine what additional insights can be generated from comparing data collected on engines of varying scale at the various institutions, and with varying combustion approaches. The results of that analysis are published and available in our first publication: "An analysis of alcohol compression ignition strategies on different engine platforms"
Please see the journal Fuel for the paper, or please feel free to email the group to request a copy of the paper.
In addition to the first paper from the ReAC Collab., please feel free to see the group's previous publications related to alcohol combustion at the various members' Google Scholar page linked here: Brian Gainey, Benjamin Lawler, Sebastian Verhelst, Martin Tuner, Adam Dempsey, Dario Lopez Pintor.
